Nature ExplorAR – Welcome!
Congratulations on finding Wollaton Hall!
Wollaton Hall is an Elizabethan country house of the 1580s standing on a small but prominent hill in Wollaton Park, Nottingham, England. The house is now Nottingham Natural History Museum, with Nottingham Industrial Museum in the out-buildings. The surrounding parkland has a herd of deer, and is regularly used for large-scale outdoor events such as rock concerts, sporting events and festivals.
On display at the Natural History Museum are some of the best items from the three quarters of a million specimens that make up its zoology, geology, and botany collections.
To win this game, you must collect three different animals around the museum of the same class within its biological classification. The biological classifications available are: Mammals, Insects, Birds
In order to collect the animal you must scan the corresponding artcode next to the exhibit in order to find out more information before adding the animal to your virtual collection. Therefore, in order to successfully play this game, the player should install the Artcode application on their mobile devices in order to be able to scan the photos.
To assist, the colour of the artcodes align with the animals classification, so look out for the same colour!
To get the ball rolling, look out for the first visual marker (artcode) within the initial entrance to Wollaton Hall before you enter the main hall. Scan the artcode to find further clues.
