Ready to discover a playful Venice with us? Discover the "Hidden Stories of Venice" while wandering in the area of the Biennale. Through your smart phone, you can access stories - bound to nine different locations - intersecting contemporary art, local history, and anecdotes. The stories take inspiration from "Doug Fishbone's Leisure Land Golf", a fully playable, artist-designed miniature golf course in which nine artists have designed a golf hole each in response to the Leisure Principle, the curatorial theme driving EM15* premiere presentation at La Biennale di Venezia 2015. Experiential encounters with the mini golf course explore the histories and relationships - both real and imagined - between work, leisure, colonialism, tourism, information and economics. The "Hidden Stories" go beyond the walls of the EM15 venue to unravel uncharted connections between the artists' work and Venice local history. With no pre-determined route and no set time limit, you can wander around the EM15 venue in San Pietro di Castello, encounter the "Hidden Stories of Venice", respond to the prompts conceived by EM15 artists and researchers, and share your experience on Twitter and/or Instagram with the hashtag: #EM15Venice. *EM15 is a collective from the East Midlands region of the UK comprising of Beacon Art Project, One Thoresby Street, QUAD and New Art Exchange, in association with the Academic Partners - Nottingham Trent University and The University of Nottingham, with Horizon Digital Economy Research as the Digital Engagement Partner.
